Christening Forchheim

On the 9^th of August, a sunny Friday in Forchheim, the Christening of our new docking spot took place. Sixty invitees, Uwe Kirschstein (Mayor of Forcheim), Nico Cieslar (head touristic information) and 125 honored guests who docked with the MS SWISS TIARA at the brand new facility attended the celebrations.

MS Swiss Tiara was the first of many to follow river cruise ships to dock at Forchheim. Hundred twenty ships are forecasted to dock in Forchheim every year. Forchheim, located in between Bamberg and Nürnberg has a lot to offer.  An impressive fortress just right next to the ancient city center with its typical German half-timbered houses, its beer culture and the shopping street where guests have the possibility to enjoy the nice and easy atmosphere of Forchheim, are just a few of the highlights to be discovered.
